United States and United Kingdom are no longer the only study abroad destinations for Indian students. India is the second largest country of origin for students coming to US, comprising 15.9 percent of all the foreign students in the country. The majority of Indian students go to US for their graduation.
Affordability, ease of obtaining student and work visa are the main factors driving Indian students to look the traditional study overseas destinations.
Indian students are value seekers, aiming to get maximum return on their investment of studying overseas. Extra practical training and future prospects of finding job opportunities are essential to their decision-making. Any changes that would increase the total cost of education or makes it more difficult to gain work experience make the institutions less attractive to Indian students.

During the late fall, winter, and early spring, chimney companies are booked with repairs and other issues, which means you may have to wait a little longer than you would like for your appointment 鈥?or perhaps even take time off work to make it fit your schedule. For sheer convenience purposes, schedule your chimney sweep during the summer. Many companies can fit you in the same or even the next day, and even if they can鈥檛, they are far more flexible with their schedules this time of year.
Don鈥檛 Wait if it Has Been More than a Year
Regardless of the time of year, if you haven鈥檛 had your chimney inspected and cleaned in over a year, it is best to schedule it as soon as possible and avoid using your fireplace until you do. The CSIA recommends cleaning your chimney at least once a year, every 36 fires, or whenever you can measure an eighth of an inch of soot on the inside of your chimney 鈥?whichever comes first. These guidelines are in place to prevent chimney fires, so if it鈥檚 been a while since your last cleaning, go ahead and make that call before you decide to chance it.
Cleaning Your Fireplace before Winter
Ideally, if you鈥檙e interested in setting up annual maintenance for your fireplace, sometime during the summer or fall is perfect. Not only does it help promote safety, but it also promotes peace of mind. You can light your first fire of the season knowing that your chimney was recently cleaned and inspected for safety, and you can also get through the entire heating season without the need to call for a cleaning.
Exceptions to these Guidelines
While the guidelines above are straightforward, there are some exceptions to consider. If you鈥檝e experienced any of the signs of a chimney fire, you should call a professional immediately and refrain from using your fireplace in the meantime 鈥?even if it was just cleaned and inspected. Along those same lines, if you suspect any sort of chimney damage due to high winds or severe weather, it鈥檚 a good idea to call for an inspection before you attempt to light a fire, even if you only had your inspection weeks before the event took place. This is for your own safety and the peace of mind is certainly worth it.
The best time of year for most homeowners to call a chimney sweep is during the summer offseason. This way, they can fit their appointments to their schedules and ensure that their chimneys are in good shape come winter.
